Our Charity Work
At Goodwin Barrett, we care about giving back to our local community. Over the years, our team have been supporting local charities and organisations through donations and fundraising events.
Goodwin Barrett is based in Bolton, and the causes we support are local ones. Alongside donations, our team takes part in fundraising events through the year for charities and community organisations across the area. We wanted to share some examples of our work.
Supporting our local community during Covid-19
Royal Bolton Hospital Maternity Unit
Our very own MD, Michelle Barrett, helping out with bags of Baby Essentials for expectant mothers at Royal Bolton Hospital Maternity Unit.
Urban Outreach Bolton
We’ve been handing out food bags for local charity Urban Outreach, helping vulnerable adults and young people have access to free food.
Care homes
We’ve donated games and puzzles for the patients at The Elms Care Home and Hazelbrook Nursing Home.
Food vouchers for Farnworth & Kearsley Foodbank
Our other charity work
UCAN – Fixit at BAND
We donated laptop and computer equipment for local people wanting to learn new skills.
Breightmet United Under 14s football team
When local footie club Breightmet United asked for help to keep the kids team going, Goodwin Barrett was happy to step in and sponsor. We provided team kits, footballs and other gear to make sure the club could keep going.
Children Today – climbing the Big One
A local charity close to many of us at Goodwin Barrett – here our team of Directors dared to climb the Big One at Blackpool.
Wipe Your Tears
Helping terminally ill children locally and across the country – here our team organised various fun events to raise money for this worthy cause.
Children Today – the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
Our management team ventured to Peru for 10 days to undertake the challenging trek up the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
