Steve Jasper from Middlesborough got back £3,000 from Lloyds
Steve had been continually contacted by his bank, Lloyds TSB, when a member of its staff noticed that he held a substantial balance in his account. They pressured him to meet with an adviser and discuss investment options.
During this meeting, Steve made it very clear to the adviser that he did not wish to take any risk with his money, as he could not afford to make any losses. The meeting was held with Steve alone yet the adviser subsequently recommended investments for his partner, despite her not being at the meeting to be able to give her input and gain her own understanding.
Steve was encouraged to invest £35000 and subsequently lost money on this investment over a short period of time.
Steve contacted us when he saw an advert in his local newspaper. After a detailed discussion, it was very clear that he had been mis-sold his investment. He had not been made aware of the true risks relating to the investment.
After a detailed complaint report was submitted to Lloyds TSB, the bank agreed that the investment had been mis-sold and made Steve an offer of compensation for £3091.
`Very good and quick service, would recommend. Thanks` commented Steve.
